Description
Located on Poso River in Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia, this project is a grid connected hydro power plant and supplies zero emission power to the West, South and South-East Sulawesi grid. Hydropower is a renewable source of energy which displaces the fossil fuel fired power generation in the regional grid. As part of a social program the project owners will provide free electricity to the local people residing in the adjacent village. This will improve the standard of living of the people and encourage small industries in the area
This project will offset the combustion of thousands of tonnes of fossil fuels, assist with the growing demands for electricity, and will support greater economic independence and cheaper electricity supply for its people. Some of the other great benefits apart from lowering greenhouse gas emissions, is job creation, the development of infrastructure in a developing country.

- Cancellation / Retirement Reason Eg. ‘Voluntary offset of business activities for ABC Travels for “fuel, expeditions, operations, ground transport, manufacturing or back office”. You can choose whichever activity you wish to offset, or offset all.
